NMS/CORE [TCSI]

NMS/Core is an object-oriented development platform for buildingintegrated management systems. The object-oriented design permits rapidprototyping of network management systems and distributed applicationsand facilitates maintenance after release to production. The GraphicsUser Interface (GUI) is based on X and Motif, handles presentation, datamodeling, graphics, maps, and hypertext help. The Management InformationBase (MIB) maintains all network objects. NMS/Core provides persistentobject storage via an interface to an RDBMS, concurrency management, andevent management, a managed object schema compiler generates forattaching services to objects. Another code generator processes userinterface definitions. An SNWP option supports MIB II as well asproprietary extensions.
